The Dark Mother is often feared…
In her readiness to guide us into the depths of mysterious, often unexplored liminal spaces, the Dark Mother embodies the enigmatic, raw, and wild realms of the underworld, and is known as the destroyer, the one who slays that which must die so that the new can be birthed.
She thus also holds the energy of resurrection and potentiality, and is the one who births, nurtures, and nourishes all life, standing as a fierce protector of all that is sacred.
In a world filled with so much chaos, conflict, imbalance and anger, the Dark Mother carries ancient wisdom and medicine that are so needed right now.
That’s why I was so excited to receive an invite from my dear friend Emmi Mutale of Feminine Revered to speak at a very special FREE summit; Return to the Mother World: Dancing with the Dark Feminine.
This 7-day summit brings together 22+ powerful wisdom keepers and way showers, all dedicated to bringing healing to humanity and our beautiful planet, and all carrying different aspects of the Dark Mother Medicine.
When Emmi asked me to join, I was an immediate full body YES. The Dark Mother has been guiding me, mercilessly yet always lovingly, to embrace my whole entire being as I've journeyed through chronic illness, unexpected divorce and menopause simultaneously. These last few years have been a wild freakin' ride.
I wrote a free-write poem about the Dark Feminine that I read aloud during my interview. It's decidedly NOT politically correct. And it springboards us into my discussion about what it means to embrace your true self and surrender to the life that is calling you, rather than the life you had planned. (Was Joseph Campbell merely a channel for the Dark Feminine? Hmmm....)
